Roseville Lawn Tennis Club Pro-Celebrity Tennis Day

The first fundraiser conducted in aid of the Trish Foundation was held on Sunday, 8th April 2001 by Roseville Lawn Tennis Club, led by President Darren Clark.  Members of the Club, including Kerry Ballard, Sue Woodward and others, put a tremendous amount of time and effort into raising $13,532 for our research.

Evonne Goolagong-Cawley and Ken Rosewall attended the special fundraiser which was also supported by other Celebrities who played tennis with the generous people who paid for the privilege to play with them.

The Trish Foundation is very grateful to Darren Clark and the Committee of Roseville Lawn Tennis Club for ‘kick-starting’ the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and also to everyone who supported the event, particularly the generous donors of so many items which contributed to the funds raised.

Inaugural Gala Fundraising Dinner

The Foundation’s inaugural Gala Fundraising Dinner and Auction was held at Curzon Hall on 3rd November 2001. Response was overwhelming, the Ballroom at Curzon Hall being filled to capacity.

Ravenswood Charity Dinner

The organising committee 'Extraordinaire' raised over $20,000 at a Ravenswood Charity Dinner on 11th August 2001. The Foundation is extremely grateful to the committee comprising 'Trish's mates' Kate Hurley, Sam Reading, Penny Walsh, Jane Barnett and Shane Hamilton. Penny Walsh, the team leader, is the daughter-in-law of Dr John Walsh of the Foundation's Scientific Research Committee.

Thank you to all the generous donors and supporters who contributed to the funds raised.

Roseville Memorial Club Charity Dinner

The Foundation is most appreciative to Roseville Memorial Club for raising over $16,500 at their Charity Dinner on 30th June 2001. Led by David Cottrell, who worked tirelessly, the Club’s tremendous support gave our funds for research a great boost. The fundraiser was supported by Dr Brendan Nelson and Barry O’Farrell.

Clubs for the Community, Northern Metropolitan Region Bowls Day

Thank you to Harry Wilkinson, Roseville Memorial Club, for organizing generous support from Clubs for the Community, Northern Metropolitan Region in dedicating their Bowls Day to the Foundation, boosting our funds for research by $5,000.

Ravenswood School for Girls - Year 12 Higher Achievers

The Foundation would like to pass on a huge thank you to the 2001 Year 12 at Ravenswood School for Girls. In their very busy Higher School Certificate year they worked extremely hard and raised $2,200 for the Foundation's research into finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. We are very grateful for their outstanding support.

Birthday Milestone

Thank you to John Shortle for dedicating his birthday milestone to the Foundation and raising approximately $1,000 for our research.

Italian Affair Committee

Thank you to the Italian Affair Committee for your generous support of our cause.

Jeweller’s Golf Day

Thank you to Ray Pontifex for dedicating a portion of the proceeds of Jeweller’s Golf Day to the Foundation.

Tennis Family Challenge

Thank you to the Northern Suburbs Tennis Association for hosting the NSTA Family Challenge on Sunday 16 September 2001 and supporting the Foundation. A great day was had by all.
