Australia Day 2009 -
Lindfield District Cricket Club’s Wonderful Support
Australia Day 2009 saw Lindfield District Cricket Club hosting the Australia Day Community Cricket Carnival to raise funds for the Trish Foundation.

The Program of Events, utilising three ovals, ranged from intraclub games for under 8s and coaching for the young players by current First Grade players to a Twenty20 Lindfield vs Roseville game and included support from Gordon Women’s Cricket Club.
An Australia Day Ceremony was held which was attended by the Foundation’s Patron, Dr Brendan Nelson and Leader of the NSW Opposition Barry O’Farrell. Trish Foundation Board member, Jenny Comanos represented the Foundation in the absence of Roy and Carol Langsford who were overseas.
Foundation volunteers supported the day, long-time volunteer Amanda Griscti and her husband Paul selling raffle tickets during the morning. Jenny Comanos was joined by valued volunteers Margaret and Geoff Burling, who travelled specially from Wollongong, Trish’s grandfather Ray Easy, Dawn Henry and Greg and Laurelle Croker.
The Carnival concluded with a Charity Dinner in the evening, guest speakers retired Test umpire Dick French and NSW Speed Blitz Blues player Ed Cowan entertaining the audience.
Lindfield District Cricket Club’s President Stirling Hamman, Peter Rezek and the committee worked very hard to raise over $4,000 for the Trish Foundation’s research and our sincere gratitude is extended to everyone who contributed to the success of the Carnival and to the funds raised, particularly the generous sponsors of the event.
The Foundation is very grateful also to Gordon Women's Cricket Club, led by President Jessica Henry for their great support of the event and for their generous donation towards our research.
